We have been practising our control, dribbling and passing skills in football. We also had a visit from two members of GHS discussing how we are feeling about the change from Primary to Secondary school. We thoroughly enjoyed learning more about High School and looking at timetables.
This week we have started our own Woodlands P7 Daily Mile challenge, we are trying to beat our own personal laps and see who is our daily and weekly winner! We also began our new PE topic of football. We are focussing on controlling the ball through dribbling. We have been enjoying our time outdoors in our dry weather, making the most of it!
It has been amazing having everyone back at school π₯°. We have enjoyed our Easter fun day of quizzes, creating Easter boxes and cards! We had some time out in the sun and have been focussing lately on our communication and teamwork skills in team games.

Today we were learning all about Comic Relief and the support and help from this that is given around the world. We learned lots through our comprehension work today, Kahoot quizzes, some art work to design red noses, masks and characters to go with these. The class also voted to set ourselves a whole class challenge for our Daily Mile to be sponsoredππ΄ Β Great effort today everyone!
Today, P7 were practising using contractions by playing hangman with their partner. They also started their WWII projects today. Half of the class started their art representing the Blitz and half started their research about certain areas within WWII and were practising taking notes. We were working on our teamwork skills of communicating, sharing our ideas and compromising with our partner.
Yesterday, Mrs McMillan had a lovely morning with P7 easing ourselves back into the routine of the school day with some health and well-being.
Today, P7 enjoyed our first whole class call with Mrs Kilpatrick from GHS learning some common phrases in Gaelic and played a Kahoot quiz to test our knowledge.
We played some PE games as a whole class and then began building our teamwork and communication skills again through Kick Rounders in the sun.
Today, P7 had lots of fun having a Teams meeting with P6/7 playing Bingo and having a dance off outside. They read their stories out to P3A on teams, played outside in the Winter sun creating Christmas games & watched our school Panto π π.
