STEM

This afternoon, Mr Hamilton, from Machanhill Primary, visited P6/7 to lead the learning of a STEM activity. We were experimenting with air resistance. To do this, we were running with a closed umbrella and timing each other and then seeing the difference in time running with the umbrella open β˜‚οΈ.

Today P6/7 carried out another experiment demonstrating friction using a bottle, rice and a pencil. It was like magic; we made bottles float.

In the afternoon, some pupils went to Machanhill Primary School to lead the learning to P7 of our friction experiment from yesterday. They done a fantastic job and should be super proud 🌟!
