Literacy- Revision of Speech Marks.
Look at these sentences, put the speech marks into the correct place and replace the weak verbs (the ones underlined)with powerful verbs.
- Hello, said the girl.
- John said, I am going to the shop.
- What time is it? asked Mary.
- I can play in the park, he said.
- The sun is shining today, said the woman.
- Where is my ball? asked Peter.
- She said, I am 7 years old.
- I have brown hair, the little girl said.
