NLC Sumdog contest is back! It begins on the 13th and runs through to the 19th November.

To take part children just need to play Sumdog. They can choose which game they play and each correct answer they give counts toward their score.

During the contest period, students who are entered will see the contest activity on their homepage. Any games they play when this is showing will count towards their score.

As a reward for taking part, each student who answers 100 questions will receive an item for their Sumdog House.

They can play any time, either at home or at school.

We are having an Odd Sock Day to celebrate  Anti- Bullying Week. All you need to do is wear odd socks! It’s a great way to celebrate what makes us all unique.

Some of our new Vice-House Captains shared a Pudsey Presentation with the rest of the school. They included a quiz at the end with treats for the winning classes!

Children in Need will take place next Friday (13th of November).

On Friday children can come to school wearing yellow, spots or anything Pudsey related! Children will enjoy some fun activities in class and learn about the work Children In Need do to help others.

On this day children do not need to bring any money, instead a small donation will be made from the school on their behalf.

We had an unfortunate mishap at assembly today so Mr Green had to visit each class and personally announce each winner… it was very exciting!

Anti-Bullying Week is an annual UK event held in the third week in November which aims to raise awareness of bullying of children and young people, in schools and elsewhere, and to highlight ways of preventing and responding to it.

This year the parent council are sponsoring a competition to create the best Anti-Bullying poster based on the theme ‘United Against Bullying’.

Design your posters and upload your pictures to this thread or if you prefer email it to woodlandsparentcouncil@gmail.com. The winner will win a tub of sweets, if we get enough entries we may even have a few winners. So get out your crayons, felt tips and paints and be as creative as you like.

The closing date for entries is 12th November and the winner will be announced on 19th November. Good luck everyone!!
