Unfortunately a resident (and parent) on the approach to the school in Melrose Road has had their car damaged by a driver who failed to stop. This is the THIRD time in the past few weeks that this has happened to this resident and parent and this time her car has been left badly damaged. We urge you that if you have any information can I ask that you please contact either the school or Cumbernauld Police.
Many thanks for your help with this matter.
Can I also take this opportunity to share with you the information regarding this matter from August’s newsletter.
Car Park
To ensure the health and safety of all children could I please remind you that the car park is for staff only and should not be used by parents when dropping off or collecting children from school. This includes parents dropping children at nursery. In order to ensure the safety of all children the gates to the car park will be closed at the start and end of the school day. Access to the school during the day is via the main gate and entrance. To ensure the safety of all children, no parents are permitted in the school playground during morning break or lunchtime while the children are out playing. Please note that parents must make use of the nursery entrance and not enter nursery via the playground, this is to ensure the safety of all children. We are currently working with NLC to devise a school travel plan to address the issues of parking congestion around the school and on the main road, more information on this will follow in due course.

The pupils have requested that we take part in this year’s Christmas Jumper Day and we are really excited to announce that we will be having a Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 18th December!
Children can come to school/nursery on Friday 18th December in their Christmas jumpers/cardigans/t-shirts for a £1 donation to charity. This charity would normally be linked to the ‘Text Santa’ campaign but this year we have decided to support the British Heart Foundation as they have directly supported pupils and families in our school who’s lives have been changed forever by heart disease. I trust you will support us in this choice and we are all really looking forward to seeing everyone in their Christmas themed clothes!

Just to give everyone a little notice. Weather permitting, P2 are hoping to go up to the town centre on Tuesday afternoon (8th December) to buy some goods for our Christmas party. Please make sure that your child is warmly and suitably dressed with appropriate footwear for walking to and from the town centre. Many thanks.
