Lots of exciting stalls, games, rides & tuck shops to enjoy. Please come along & bring your friends & family… it even looks like the sun might shine 🙂

We are very excited to be holding our first Family Fun Day this Saturday! The event will take place from 10am – 12pm. There will be kids rides & inflatables, stalls & a tuck shop.

Information packs will be issued to children this week. These packs will include the annual data checks, photo permission letters, school trip consent letters,  our latest newsletter & an annual calendar.

Annual data checks – these forms keep your child’s record up-to-date & provide us with important information like contact telephone numbers. Please check the information on the form, make any changes & then date & sign the form before returning to school.

Photo permission letters- please remember to return this to school. Once these forms are returned Class Blogs & Twitter will resume 🙂

School trip consent – these forms are used as your consent for us to take children on school outings. You will be informed of any class trips/walks through the school blog/letters.

The school newsletter & annual calendar will let you see at a glance some up-coming events.

Woodlands would like to introduce the newest members of our school family – yesterday our bees moved into their new home!

Following the success of some bee lessons & securing funding we are really pleased to be one of the first schools to welcome our family of bees!

Mr McMullan & Mrs Watson were there to help make the move go smoothly & the bees are now setting up home in the nature garden.

The bees are well tucked away from the playground & shouldn’t pose any hazard to the children – Mr McMullan & Mrs Watson will be the only people initially to look after the bees – recording videos for us all to see.

We hope that the bees will provide an exciting, real-life learning experience for the children to be part of 🙂

The following letter will be issued to children on Friday…

Children should not attend school tomorrow (23.6.16) as the school is being used as a polling station.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Friday morning – ready for their school trip! 🙂

Just a reminder that everyone will be heading off on the school trip to the 5 Sister’s Zoo this Friday.

Please remember to bring a packed lunch (unless pre-ordered when returning tear-off slip with the letter) & suitable clothing for being outdoors. Children should wear their SCHOOL JUMPER.

Children DO NOT NEED TO BRING MONEY on the trip as there will be no time to go to the shop due to the number of children attending.

Just a reminder that the school show ‘Woodlands School of Rock’ is on this Monday evening & Tuesday afternoon & evening.

Children should come to school for the evening performances at 6.30pm
