The Kindest of Gestures

What a wonderful school we have, filled with hard working and kind pupils,  inspiring teachers and supportive parents and carers. It therefore came as no surprise to when one of our Primary 4 pupils, Julia, came to me to tell me about a wonderful and self-less gesture she was going to make.

Julia had been growing her hair for numerous months until it was long enough for her to have it cut so she could donate her hair to a charity who would use it to create a wig for someone who had lost their hair due to illness. This is such a kind and thoughtful gesture from someone who is so young and sums up the attitude and ethos of the pupils who attend Woodlands Primary and I wanted to share this lovely story with you all.

Julia is now sporting a beautiful new haircut and we are all very proud of her!
