Menu Change

Due to issues with the kitchen food delivery there will be changes to Thursday’s and Fridays lunch options.

Thursday

Red option change – no steak pie, it will be replaced by macaroni cheese and diced potato.

Friday

Red option change – no fish, it will be replaced by burger and chips.

NURSERY APPLICATIONS

Applications for Nursery places are now available.  Please see details below for how to apply.

Please note that the closing date for applications is Friday, 21 February 2025.

How to Apply

  • Applications can be completed and handed directly to the first choice setting along with the necessary supporting paperwork
  • Parents/carers may wish to email the application form directly to the first-choice setting, supporting paperwork can be sent as a photo attachment for those that don’t have access to a scanning facility.
  • Please ensure three choices are provided.
  • Early learning and childcare applications | North Lanarkshire Council this link will provide access to all info detailed above (updated information available from Monday, 16 December)
  • Paper applications can still be accepted where parents/carers do not have access to IT.
  • Parents/carers unable to provide their current council tax bill can register with the Council Tax portal and obtain a copy View and manage your council tax account online | North Lanarkshire Council
  • Please ensure that a copy of the birth certificate is provided for UK Nationals and a Passport/Identity Card for non UK Nationals

Christmas Parties

Christmas Parties                                          

The children will enjoy a party with their peers on:

 

Monday 16th of December                              – All P6 and P7 children

Tuesday 17th of December                             – All P3, P4 and P5 children

Wednesday 18th of December                        – All Nursery, P1 and P2 children

 

The children can come to school wearing their party gear and bring a snack to share with their

friends such as a bottle of juice, crisps, funsizes or shop bought small cakes.

STEM and Play

This Friday (6th December) Woodlands Primary school is having a STEM and Play for all of our Primary 7s.

The P7 ‘STEM and Play’ session will take place from 2pm – 3pm in the STEM and in the  classrooms. These sessions give you a chance to see what your child is learning and to get involved, as well as to meet other parents/families. Parents and carers are welcome to attend. Parents and carers attending must enter through the front door and sign in via the QR code sign in sheet.

Christmas Jumpers

To spread some Christmas cheer from Monday 2nd December boys and girls can wear their Christmas Jumpers every day in December if they would like to. Children should still wear their school trousers and skirts with their Christmas jumper.
