S1/2 Health and Wellbeing

PowerPoints on Creativity, Flexibility and Communication have been uploaded based on the Significant Aspects of Learning in PE. These require pupils to read through the PowerPoints, watch the videos included and complete the tasks set.

S1-S6 Virtual P.E Hall

Every week one of Taylor’s PE teachers will post content on this team which will challenge you to remain physically active during lock-down. This will come in the form of workouts, fitness challenges and tips which should help you to maintain both your physical and mental health and well-being.

S3 Elective P.E

Pupils have been set a PowerPoint on the topic of Physical Factors to read through following this they have activities and tasks to complete and submit.

S4 National P.E

S4 have been set a PowerPoint to look through and Question 3A of the National 5 portfolio for this week which is based on feedback and it’s benefits. As we usually run 2 questions for every fortnight they will be set Q3B next Monday which looks at the importance of monitoring your performance. Both PowerPoints are narrated and a video will be made available.

Higher P.E

Pupils have been set a PowerPoint on the topic of Feedback and its uses in training and live performances. Following this, pupils have a written task to complete on Recording, Monitoring and Evaluating their Personal Development Programmes. To conclude this section of the course pupils will be asked to identify areas which they would like additional input before beginning Section 3 of the course.

S5/6 Wellbeing

The Wellbeing group have been set task 1 of the wellbeing booklet based on choosing an aspect of fitness that they would like to improve on and exploring alternative methods alongside training which they could use to improve this aspect. A PowerPoint has been attached to help with this.

S6 Sports Coaching

The Sports Coaches have been given a first draft blank session plan to complete. This should be based on the practical sessions that we delivered earlier in the year and the final version will be used as their assessment for outcome 2 of ‘An Introduction to Sports Coaching’. A narrated PowerPoint has been attached to the assignment to assist them with this.
