New Team Codes

As of this week, all Science groups will now move over to Microsoft Teams and the use of Edmodo will cease. Below is the list of subject groups, teams codes, and topic of work.

All students are encouraged to move over as soon as possible and you should message your Pupil Support Teacher if you need their GLOW email/password.

S3 Chemistry

Hi everyone, we hope you all got on well with the tasks this week. Remember if you have any questions please just ask one of us. The next quiz has been posted on Teams  (due to be completed by Monday) and is on all of the learning in acids and bases so far so please use your notes or BBC bitesize to help you when answering the questions. Good luck!

STEM Competition

Have a look at this STEM competition from Network Rail on World Without Women, as part of Engineering Day celebrations. This is an exciting opportunity for all children to take part in – and win fantastic prizes!

S3 Physics

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Your tasks for this week have been posted on Teams. You have to look through the following presentation and make your own notes as necessary. Complete page 14 and 15 in your problems booklet. Insert your photos into your personal section of the class notebook.

S3 Biology

Good morning S3 pupils. We hope you are all well. All of the Biology teachers have been impressed by your efforts recently. We know that the past paper questions were very time consuming, but they are so beneficial. There’s 3 weeks left until the summer holidays  We want you to try to spend this time ensuring your knowledge of Unit 3 “Life on Earth” is top notch.
For this week’s work we would like you to do the 3 things below:                                                                                                                   1) Click on the link at the bottom of this post to see our Virtual Biology Lab. You may need to download the Virtual Lab pdf before you can use the links in it. There, you will find all of the Biology teachers  We want you to click on the news article on the whiteboard (you may need to hold ctrl + click the link for it to take you to the website), and just read it (you don’t have to do anything else, just read it). On the teacher’s desk, there is a BBC bitesize link that will take you to the page for Unit 3. This link will help you to do parts 2 and 3 below.

2) Click on the link https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/guides/z2vjrwx/test – BBC Bitesize Ecosystems and do the 10 questions, then check your results.

3) Finally, to test your knowledge on Ecosystems we want you to answer the 16 questions in the the first Unit 3 which can be found in Teams(Unit 3 K.A. 1) IF YOU WANT TO, YOU CAN WORK THROUGH THE OTHERS TOO!

REMEMBER, your answers need to be SUBMITTED by this Friday 12th June by 3pm. Your teacher will be looking at your answers/results. If you need any help with the questions, why not use the BBC bitesize link in the Virtual Biology Lab, or one of the Biology teachers will be happy to help on here.                                                                                                                                                                                                Good Luck!

S1 & S2 Pupils

Hi everyone, we hope you and your families are all well. Over the next 2 weeks we would like you to focus on a Biodiversity task that has been posted on Teams and Edmodo. Please ask if you need help. We are looking forward to seeing some of your work. Take care and stay safe.😊🌈

S3 Physics – Reminder

Log into Teams and complete the quiz which is on resistors (series, parallel and combinations) and Power. If you haven’t looked at information on the last two assignments, have a look at them first.  These are in the files area, along with the relationship sheet within Teams. This is due to be completed tomorrow. Good luck!

S3 Biology – Reminder

You should now be working through the final past paper pack on unit 3.
Pack 3 can be found on Teams your answers should be submitted for FRIDAY 5th June.
Remember you can access bbc bitesize to help you – click on the link in the virtual classroom and it will take you to the bbc bitesize unit 3 page.
