Our pupils were simply sparkling as they dressed up for our ‘Be Bright’ fundraiser on November 5th. This event was so much fun and the teachers even got in on the act. ‘Be Bright’ day helped raise money for school funds (Thank You!) and it also helped reinforce an important road safety message to all of our pupils. Now that winter is officially here and the darker nights are upon us, it is important that our children can be clearly seen by cars and other road users. So the message from St. Patrick’s is loud and clear: ‘Be Bright, Be Seen!’

Bronze Awards
Our Golden Pathways have been a major success so far, helping to improve behaviour and also encouraging the children to work hard to earn their 30 minutes ‘Golden Time’ each week. Last Friday saw our children reach their first milestone and they were delighted when they were presented with their Bronze Award certificates. Well done everyone!
P6/7 Football League
A very talented group of Primary 6 and Primary 7 boys have been selected to represent our school football team in the ‘Shotts Cluster League’ which is a 7-aside football event held every Friday at Calderhead High School for local primary schools. The boys have performed at a very high standard so far and have represented the school very well. They have shown great enthusiasm and displayed excellent sportsmanship throughout.
Primary 7
Primary 7 are delighted to be back in school! We are looking forward to a very busy and extremely quick final year at St. Patrick’s before heading on to high school. We are particularly excited about the upcoming trips to Kilbowie and London. This term, we are reading the fantastic novel, ‘An Elephant in the Garden’ by Michael Morpurgo and the topic we are studying is Space. We are looking forward to sharing, with you, our learning journey.
