Room 13 had a blast experimenting with the Sphero Bolts as part of National Coding week 2025.

11th September 2025

Room 1 invited the Room 13 representatives of the Reading Leadership Group to come round for some reading time – the senior pupils helped the infants to write book reviews, and they had lovely chats about authors, illustrators, and the different characters in their chosen stories.

We coded our own character games today, and took notes, so that we can write and edit a piece of Instructional Writing. Then we will use our writing to teach another class how to code their own games.

4th September 2025

What a beautiful way to spend the day – exploring Carfin Grotto, and celebrating a mass in honour of our 2025 Jubilee Year with over 2000 other P7 pupils from the Motherwell Diocese! The theme for the Jubilee Year is ‘Pilgrims of Hope’, encouraging the spread of Christian hope.

5th September 2025

A fab afternoon spend working on our Science topic – Chemical Changes. We spent our Taught Writing time this week creating Instructional Writing texts, and planning out our own experiments based on dissolution, solubility and insolubility. Today, we followed those instructions and noted the results!

3rd September 2025

Primary 7 were pleased to welcome Martha,our beloved SVDP liaison, for a visit this morning. We chatted about starting our Mini Vinnies journey, and took time together to honour the upcoming canonisation of Pier Giorgio Frassati, who will become the patron Saint of Vincentian youth on Sunday, 7th September 2025.
