MicroBit teaching

This week, P7 planned and began teaching a series of lessons about coding Micro:bits to Rooms 7&8. They have evaluated how their lessons went, so they can plan reflectively for next week, and extend their lessons!

Science experiment

As part of their ‘Materials’ science topic, Room 13 hypothesised and recorded results during their density experiment this afternoon. Tomorrow, they will recreate the experiment with room 12!

Fun basketball activies

More pupil-led learning for primary 7. We designed warm-up stations to help develop the basketball skills we wanted to improve based on our self assessments – agility and stamina, footwork and pivoting, and accuracy in passing/shooting

Fun Math work

Room 13 transmitted codes via Bluetooth, to create Times Tables Microbit testers, which we then used as part of our Friday Math-a-go-round. We also played logic sequencing games, had a go at practical tessellating and geometry, and demonstrated awareness of variables using concrete materials.

World War 2 artwork

As part of their World War 2 topic, Rm 13 listened to speeches made by Neville Chamberlain, Winston Churchill and Adolf Hitler. They then highlighted key words and phrases, and used them to create an outline of the speaker. Can you tell which is which? Zoom in for more detail
