I would like to start by thanking all of our guests for attending our Showcase this morning I know that the pupils really enjoyed “teaching” the adults that attended.
This term our topic has been The Vikings and the pupils in Primary 4S have really enjoyed learning lots of facts about the Vikings. They decided that they would do their Showcase on this topic. The children took responsibility for planning, organising and delivering this showcase to some of their family members. The children had to work cooperatively in small groups to plan each activity. There were times where they had to compromise with each other and they learned that they had to negotiate with others as they might not all have the same opinion on what they should do. At times some friendships were tested and others developed.
They decided on the activities that they wanted to do and had to prepare their own resources. Being organised was vital and some of the groups were excellent at this.
During the delivery of their activities it was amazing to see the confidence of the children improve as they worked and communicated with different groups of adults.
As the class teacher I was so proud of all of the children today. Well done Primary 4S.
