Ukraine Appeal (Friday 4th March 2022)
Dear parent/carer,
I’m sure that you will all be very aware of the current devastating and tragic situation which is ongoing in Ukraine. We are joining together with  Plains Primary and the whole community of Plains to help those people who are in desperate need, particularly on the Moldovan/Ukrainian border.
Below is a list of the items that are required for the Ukrainian refugees, most of whom are women and children.
Please note that only NEW items can be accepted through customs.
NEWÂ unopenedÂ
Bedding, Duvets, Blankets
Hygiene items e.g., Soap, Shower Gel, Shampoo, Deodorant, Sanitary Products, Toilet roll, Toothpaste and Toothbrushes.
Underwear and clothing for women and children of all ages.
Baby food in sealed jars, Baby sleep suits and vests, Nappies, Wipes
Disposable items e.g., Plates, Cups, Bowls, Hot drink cups.
Toys (Unopened)
All items should be handed directly into the Elim Church. The hall will be open each day next week (7-11 March) between 12-1 and 6-8pm. Alternatively items can be handed into school, and we will pass them on.
Donations of money can also be accepted. Money should be left in an envelope marked Graeme Paterson Ukraine Refugee Appeal at our school reception.
The deadline for items to be delivered to the Elim Church Hall is Friday 11th March.
We are also very mindful that we have a number of charity events running throughout Lent, please do not feel that you have to donate to everything. The response to the Foodbank Appeal today was absolutely outstanding and we were overwhelmed with your generosity. We will be praying the Rosary in school and an extra prayer every day for peace, if you are not able to give, please pray.
Thank you in advance for any support you can offer.
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Livingstone
Head Teacher
