Thursday in the first week in Advent. It was a bitterly cold night with a bit of snow as well. This morning looks fantastic with the possibility of sunshine. We have celebrated fine Advent Assemblies in our two schools together with the enrolment of candidates for the Pope Francis Award Scheme and the Mini Vinnies at St David’s School. The funeral of Margaret Ryce will take place at 11.30 this morning. The whole parish is the invited to attend either of our Penitential Services during the Third Week in Advent: at St David’s on the 15th and at St Mary’s on the 16th. These wonderful events will be accompanied with General Absolution. Everyone is invited with special encouragement given to families preparing for Sacraments. This opportunity for Amazing Grace will be a wonderful preparation for the Lord’s Nativity. Come Lord Jesus come….
