A very warm welcome back to the new school session. The children are looking fantastic in their new school uniforms and ready for all the interesting and exciting experiences the new term will bring. We welcomed 37 new Primary One children who are continuing to settle to school life. We have been thinking of our previous Primary 7’s and wish them well at secondary school. Classes will blog weekly and you can follow us on Twitter. We are very much looking forward to this new school year and working in partnership with you and your child. Thank you again for your continued support.

Hello from Miss Mc Dermott and P2M

In P2M we have been working very hard in term 4 and would love to share some of our learning experiences with you.

In P.E we have been learning to move an object from a start position to a set target. We have been using bean bags and hula hoops, bowling balls and rubber rings as well as foam balls and cones to use for many different games.

In maths we have been focusing on fractions using halves and quarters. The children have enjoyed many outdoor lessons in active maths this term.

Primary 2F Term 4 Update

Primary 2 have had a very active year; with our P.E. learning experiences, mile a day walks, Rambling and visiting sport coaches. Multi-sports have been taught by the sports coaches this year and it is something which the children have looked forward to each week. The children have really enjoyed developing their skills in football, tackling in rugby and the exciting warm up games.

As part out our Outdoor Learning Initiative Primary 2 have enjoyed our local environment walks and rambling in Barons Haugh. The children have enjoyed being outdoors, being active and having fun! The children have shown appreciation for their local environment and that they are able to visit Barons Haugh as it is so close to our school.
