Our P2/1 class has made a fantastic start to the school year, and we are delighted with how confidently the children have settled in. For our new Primary 1 pupils, these first weeks mark the beginning of an exciting journey, and they have approached school life with curiosity, enthusiasm and plenty of smiles. Our Primary 2s have been a wonderful support during this transition, helping their younger classmates feel welcome and settled as they adjust to their new environment.
We have spent time helping all children become familiar with the classroom, daily routines and shared learning spaces. The children are learning where things belong, understanding expectations and beginning to form new friendships, all of which contribute to a calm, positive and welcoming atmosphere.
Each morning, the class arrives eager and ready to learn, bringing a sense of excitement and energy to the room. It has been lovely to watch both year groups grow in confidence as they settle into life in P2/1.
Play‑based learning has been central to our start to the term. The Primary 1s have enjoyed exploring familiar activities from their nursery days, helping them feel secure as they adjust to school routines. The whole class has embraced opportunities to engage with songs, stories and imaginative activities that build language, creativity and confidence.
In PE, the children have taken part in lively games that promote coordination, teamwork and movement skills. They have enjoyed learning new routines and trying out new challenges in a supportive environment.
We are thrilled with the wonderful start our P2/1 class has made and look forward to all the learning, discoveries and achievements ahead this term. 🌟
