Primary 3/2 have been working hard this term and we would like to share some of the work we have been doing with you.

 

Literacy

We practice sounds and common words daily and learn new sounds and common words weekly. We have been working on our letter formation in upper- and lower-case letters. We read our books almost every day in class with our teacher. We complete jotter tasks to practice our spelling and show our understanding of our reading books. We enjoy practicing our sounds and common words during play and learn activities and using technology

 

 

 

 

Mathematics

We practice counting daily in class and we are getting more confident with the times tables. We revise topics we have learned to keep them fresh in our heads. Recently we have been learning how to tell the time in class. We have discussed the importance of using both analogue and digital clocks in school and at home. We enjoy playing and learning activities as well as using technology to reinforce our learning.

 

I.D.L.

This term our I.D.L. topic is Summer Enterprise. We have been learning about the Rights of the Child and needs and wants. We have been learned about a Scottish charity, S.C.I.A.F. and we can work within a budget. We have participated in playing and learning activities during this topic and we are excited to hold our Summer Shop later this month.

 

School Summer Show

Primary 3/2 have been working hard, singing and dancing in preparation for our show Annie. A lot of work has gone into preparing for the show as we have had to learn how to sing a song, add dance moves and learn about getting on and off the stage. We are excited to perform for our family and friends next week!
