We are voyaging together in a community of faith, love and learning.

End of May 2026 Update

May has been a busy and very special month for our school community, particularly as we prepared for the Sacraments of First Holy Communion and Confirmation.

On Thursday 28th May, pupils from St. Brendan’s had the honour of leading the evening rosary at Carfin Grotto. This was a wonderful way to conclude our focus on the Holy Rosary, as the children have been praying it daily in school as part of Aid to the Church in Need’s ‘Maisy Milk Rosary for Peace’. We extend our thanks to all pupils, families and friends who came along to support this special occasion.

We were also delighted to welcome Bishop Toal to the school on Friday 29th May. Our Primary 7 pupils led a thoughtful presentation of the parable of the Good Samaritan for the whole school. Afterwards, Bishop Toal met with the Confirmandi to chat with them as they prepare for their Confirmation on Thursday 4th June in St. Brendan’s Church. Please keep our pupils in your prayers at this important time.

On Saturday 30th May, our Primary 4 children received Jesus in Holy Communion for the first time. The Mass, celebrated by Fr Ricky, was a beautiful and memorable service. We are very proud of all the boys and girls on this special milestone in their faith journey.
