Welcome to our latest update, it may have been a short 4 day week but we have certainly been very busy with many achievements to celebrate.
First of all we celebrated lots of success during our weekly assembly. Many pupils were recognised for their hard work and effort not only in their learning but also outwith school.
On Monday we welcomed His Lordship, Bishop Toal, who spoke the the Primary 7 pupils in preparation of receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. This was a very informative visit where the pupils learned a little more about the Bishop’s life and the Sacrament. We celebrated the Sacrament of Confirmation on Wednesday evening in partnership with our parish, St. Brendan’s Church. We thank Bishop Toal for celebrating Mass as well as Fr Ricky, Fr Flynn & Deacon Harry who joined us. It was a lovely, spiritual and uplifting evening and we are very proud of our pupils who worked hard in their preparations.
We finished the week with more good news. Our Boy’s Football team have been participating in a Fair Play Tournament throughout the year which was organised by MFC Community Trust and in partnership with NLC Active Schools, and on Thursday our boys participated for the final time and won the overall tournament. This is a tremendous achievement. Points were awarded not only for winning games but for good sportsmanship, teamwork and fair play. Thank you to our football coaches who have led the boys throughout this journey. Well done, we are very proud of you!
