Good evening everyone!
We’re pleased to share that everyone has had a brilliant first day here on residential at Inverclyde. Our super Primary 7s are well settled, happy and enjoying their time away.
Since we arrived this morning, the staff at Inverclyde have made us very welcome and the children have thrown themselves into each activity with enthusiasm, confidence and plenty of smiles. Throughout the day, groups have taken part in a wide range of exciting experiences including rock climbing, orienteering around the centre grounds, archery and some competitive team games of handball.
It has been lovely to see our children encouraging one another, showing resilience, and celebrating each other’s successes. Whether reaching new heights on the climbing wall or working together to solve orienteering challenges, the children have shown great growth mindset and St Brendan’s spirit.
As always, the Inverclyde menu has been a big hit! At lunchtime, everyone enjoyed a tasty selection of soup and sandwiches or pasta which gave us all plenty of energy for the day’s activities and, for dinner, Burger Night went down a treat!
This evening, the fun continued with a fast paced session of Glow in the Dark dodgeball. This made for a lively and memorable end to the day for our very competitive children (and staff!)
So far, Primary 7 have shown great independence and positive attitudes throughout the day. We are proud to see everyone making the most of the experience.
Tomorrow promises even more adventure as we head to Castle Semple for an exciting day of water sports.
Thank you for your continued support – we’ll keep you updated as the adventure continues!
