Primary 5B have enjoyed an excellent first term with Miss McShane and Miss Burns.
Although we have moved around a little due to the ongoing rewiring, we have really settled into the new school year and have already achieved so much.
Our topic this term focused on New Lanark. We learned all about David Dale, the founder of the mills at New Lanark, and Robert Owen, his son-in-law who took over the mill after him and who improved things for the people who lived and worked there. We learned that the machines in New Lanark were powered by the Falls of the Clyde and spent time making our own water wheels as part of a fun STEM challenge! Take a peek below to see one in action!
We also enjoyed spending some time outside taking part in a variety of outdoor learning activities and even getting a sneak peek of our brand new MUGA during our Rights Respecting Try Everything Day!
We can’t wait for next term to continue the learning and fun!
