St Bernard's Primary School

Confirmation preparation is currently underway in primary 6. We have completed our first exercise in our lovely booklets and have learned about the kind, inspiration Jesus was by reading through the sacred scriptures. We now understand that by having the Holy Spirit within us can help us to live the Word of God and be charitable to others who are less fortunate. We researched newspapers and Websites to find everyday examples of the spirit working in others and now we are researching different saints who gave up their lives for their strong faith.

We know it is important to take our time in researching and choosing our saints name! As you can see we are excited about this process and finding out about saints who we have never heard about.

A brilliant day gorge walking, skiing and orienteering. The children have had so many wonderful new challenges and experiences, met many new friends and have had such a fantastic time. They have been so well behaved and mannerly, and a credit to the school, their families and we are so proud of them.

Another great day at Kilbowie. After a hearty breakfast, we all went hill walking with snowball fights, sliding down the snowy hillsides on our backs, enjoyed magnificent views at the top, then finding out about birds and local wildlife.
