24th June Primary 1

Good morning everyone,
so this is the official last day of primary 1 for our wee stars! It is not as we imagined, but I think you would agree that each one of them has shown great resilience and super spirit during the lockdown!
I have put together a power point for the end of term which you can access on the right – End of year Assembly. I hope it brings some nice memories for you and your child. I have loved them all and I really wanted to take them on to P2, so I am delighted that we will all
be together again!

The End of the Year

The end has come so very quickly – it’s time to move along,
The final days of this school year have been and now are gone.

This year has been so wonderful; the time has gone so fast,
We’ve learnt so much; had so much fun – the time’s just whizzed past.

Enjoy your summer holidays and get some well-earned rest,
To start the new year full of beans; prepared to try your best.

But I am the lucky one – I’m certain this is true,
Because I get to teach and spend the time next year with you!

Loads and loads of love,
Mrs Carlin

Last day Primary 5! 24.06.20

Good morning children!

Well, we have reached our last day of school. What a uniquely strange time it has been! I’m sure we all have lots of memories of the last few months – some lovely memories of time with our families and perhaps we’ve experienced some worries too. Today, please take the time to tell me about some of your favourite lockdown memories; maybe you went on bike rides, or baking, or painting rainbows. Tell me also about how you are feeling about coming back to school in August.

Remember to keep in touch today. You can continue with your End of Term activities plan and send me photos or messages.

Have a wonderful last day!

Take care and have a great Summer.

Good morning boys and girls.
Well done, you have made it to the last week of home learning! Here is this week’s virtual classroom, it is the last one before the summer holidays.

P6a 22nd June end of term classroom

You can choose what you want to do. The balloons will take you to the end of term activity booklet and all other objects and posters around the class will take you to other summer tasks. Try to do 2 per day this week.
Today is North Lanarkshire’s Virtual Sport’s Day. I have put the poster on our classroom to take part. All other details are on NLC Active Schools Twitter page.
Have a great day everyone and remember to send me the tasks you choose to do!

Good morning P5! 22.06.20

Good morning children!

Here we are in our last week of term before the holidays – can you believe it?
You will find our plan in the documents section of our Glow class page – it’s called ‘End of term activities 22.6.20’. You will be continuing with the End of term Activity Booklet this week – I recommend the Time Capsule activity on the literacy page but you can choose any activities you like. There are some additional activities I’d like you to try on the End of term activities 22.6.20 plan. I would like to hear your top 5 lockdown memories. Work through the activities over the next three days.

You have a Sumdog Mixed Skills Challenge this week. There are 100 questions so you could try to do a little each day for the next three days.

Keep in touch and let me know how you are getting on with your tasks. Have fun!

Primary 3 Monday 22nd June

Good morning everyone! How are you all doing this morning? I hope you all had a fantstic weekend. I can’t believe it is the last week of the term! You have been working so hard at home this term- a big well done to all of you!

For our final few days, I have uploaded a fun outdoors virtual classroom and your end of term activity booklet to Glow. You can choose from either of these and it would be fantastic if you aim to do 2 activities per day.

Week beginning 22nd June

I will be in the hub today so will not be able to reply to messages during the day but feel free to send messages or photographs and I will get these after school.

I hope you all enjoy your tasks and have a wonderful day!

22nd June Primary 1 Summer classroom

Good morning Primary 1!
We are now in the last few days of school! I have made a summer classroom for you which you can access on the right hand side. In this summer classroom are some summer activities and a link for the North Lanarkshire Sports Day. You can join in with the Sports activities and write down the pints you score. You do not send your points to me or anyone else but count them up at the end and see if you are Gold, Silver or Bronze! You can also access the End of Term booklet that we started last week as I am sure there are some activities you did not get to try.
Have a great day and keep in touch. I am teaching in the hub today, but I will log on when I get home and see what you have been doing today!
Mrs Carlin.
