Catching up with P7๐Ÿ˜ –

We have written letters to our local community to ask them for help to watch over our new garden when we are not in school. Within our letter we outlined some of the plans we have for the garden and in return for helping us to keep it safe we would like to be able to offer our local community some fruit and veg from our garden that we will grow ourselves. ๐Ÿฅ•๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ…

We enjoyed a refreshing walk around our local community to deliver our letters and even enjoyed a wee sing song ๐ŸŽผSomeoneโ€™s knocking at the door, someoneโ€™s ringing my bell ๐Ÿ›Žย ๐ŸŽผ

Last week was Primary 7โ€™s week for STEM! This term we have been given a STEM challenge. We began Phase 1 where we worked in small groups to research and select a landmark of our choice. We then began to think about what materials we could use to constrict this landmark and experimented with a few designs. Our final phase involved the construction of our complete landmark models. The children were very creative and made some excellent models!

This week we also engaged in some friendly competition during ICT when we competed as individuals and teams on a variety of maths challenges and contests to try and reach the top of the leaderboard. We enjoyed using the Sumdog maths app this week for these fantastic challenges.

Finally, to finish off this week we enjoyed some buddy time with Primary 1 and this week we began reading some non-fiction texts together. We then helped our buddies to pick and write an interesting fact about their book in their jotted. ๐Ÿ˜โœ๏ธ๐ŸŒŸ
