Primary Five Update

What a great week!

We have been learning all about Celtic Jewellery and artwork. On Thursday we had the opportunity to compare and contrast Celtic and Roman art work. We learned about the history of Roman Mosaics and we even got a chance to design some of our own.

Eva said “We enjoyed using bright colours and making patterns for our mosaics!”

As a part of our topic (The Romans and The Celts) we enjoyed learning all about the Roman invasion of the Celtic Territories. We used our map skills to identify the spread of the Roman Empire over hundreds of years.

Malinka said “I learned that the Romans took over most of Europe!”

This week was also our first session of ‘Better movers, Better thinkers’ with Mr Munro (AKA Andy!). We got to test our listening skills alongside our fitness level! We had to think hard whilst keeping moving at the same time!

Connor said “Mr Munro took us to the PE hall where we practiced our skills and played some games. I enjoyed the ball game where we had to grab the ball when the magic word was said!”

We are looking forward to another great week. Enjoy your weekend! : )
