In our PE these past few weeks, we have been developing skills for “Invasion Games!” This sounds quite scary, but here is what we have been doing….

We have been learning to control the ball with our feet and move in different directions with the ball.

It has been tricky to keep the ball under control and not touch it with our hands!

Also, we had to learn to stop the ball with our feet, another skill that we need more practice with!

Not only did we use our feet to control the ball, we also used our hands and have been learning how to bounce the ball while moving slowly around the room. We all liked this best, but we still need to practice.

You can see that we are trying hard to write sentences. Look at these short sentences about a cat and an owl, with capital letters  and full stops.

Here, you can see that we are working hard to improve our handwriting and have new handwriting books to practice the size and formation of the letters.

Also, we are trying to make the muddled up sentences, this is a challeneg as we have to read every word and then see what makes sense. Everyone works as a team when we are doing this quick activity at the end of our literacy session.

This picture shows one of our story writing jitters. We have been writing stories about different ways to travel. Everyone thought of a story about travelling in a boat…. it was very interesting!
