A busy first week back in primary 6/7

Happy New year everyone!

It has been a week of new learning in primary 6/7

This week we began our preparation for confirmation. Our confirmation is the 7th of February and we are very excited about this important sacrament.  We have been learning about how Jesus used the Holy Spirit in his life and how people use the Holy Spirit to help others.

Mrs MacFarlane and Mrs Crielly will be hosting an information session all about Confirmation on Monday 15th January at three o’clock. We will be discussing the Sacrament, homework sessions, different roles for everyone and practicalities for the night. We hope to see many of you there.

This week we have also started our new topic World War II. The children were very excited to begin this topic and have already learned about how the war began. We have also started to look at evacuation. The children can’t wait for their next lesson.

This week we have enjoyed reading our novels aloud to our peers and we assessed each other on this. Lots of new targets were set and we hope to achieve these soon.
