Scotland topic work and more.

We have been adding more information and art work to our wall  display about Scotland. You will see we have been finding out about The Thistle, our Scottish flower, tartan, our Scottish pattern, Mhairi Hedderwick, a Scottish author and much more.

We have also been learning about St Andrew, our patron saint. We learned new and interesting facts and displayed some of them on our wall. We also made our own fish for the net and worked in cooperative groups to make St Andrew’s flags.

This display shows the work we have been doing in looking at the winter colours and winter sky in Scotland. When we looked at pictures of Scotland, we could see blue, green, purple, pink and yellow colours. We also looked at the super moon last week and included this in our art. We added Scottish evergreen trees with a little frost on them. We think they look amazing and really show a Scottish winter’s night.

We had great fun at pantomime on Thursday. We made our teacher very proud with our wonderful behaviour. It was great to see actors on stage and it made us all very excited to think we would be on stage soon ourselves to perform in our Christmas Nativity show. This week we were at the STEM zone, creating, designing and inventing. It was really great fun and we learned a lot about what works and what does not work when we are building models. We also learned that sometimes it is better to work with someone else because they can help you with ideas and show you different ways to do things.

What a busy week!
