Maths week in pr6/7

It has been a mind puzzling, fantastic fun week in our school- it’s been Maths Week!

Our highlights of the week have been the escape rooms and the maths family fun day!

In the escape rooms, we were given different puzzles to solve. With each answer we uncovered the combination to a padlock in the box. Once we had opened one padlock in the box we had to then go on solving puzzles until we got the next one. The last padlock was our timer and we got to switch that off to get a completion time. It was great fun! We loved the challenge, the team work and working against the clock! Awesome fun!

For the family fun day, our families were invited in to join us for a quiz and to have a go at some of the interactive maths activity tables. We had parents playing snakes and ladders, making times tables fortune tellers, going on maths trails, solving puzzle mysteries and so on! It was a huge success and we were so delighted with how many family members took time to come and join us. After it was all over, our families were rewarded with tea and cakes before heading home. What a fantastic day at St Barts!
