Primary 7- Wednesday 25th March

Good morning Primary 7,

I hope you are all up, have had your breakfast and are ready to start your day. Please spend some time today working on Sum Dog to ensure that we are continuing to improve our maths skills.

Perhaps when you are doing some personal reading today you could select some tricky words from your book and explore the definition of these words using a dictionary, this will help expand your vocabulary. David Walliams is releasing an audio story from The World’s Worst Children on Twitter everyday for the next 30 days. It might be a nice idea to sit down with a family member, have a snack and listen to one of these stories. What a nice way to relax!

The 25th of March is the feast of the Annunciation. The Annunciation is the day the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and asked her to be the mother of Jesus.  A nice way to celebrate this feast day would be to say a decade of the rosary.

Remember to keep working on activities from your grid and share some pictures on Twitter. Have a lovely day and I look forward to seeing some of your pictures later on.

Mrs Butler 🙂

Wednesday 25th March

Good morning boys and girls. I hope you and your family are well. Remember, if you can, start your day with a prayer and thank God for all your family and friends.

As today is the feast of the Annunciation it might also be a good idea to say a Hail Mary. This feast celebrates the day the Angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and asked her to be the Mother of Jesus.

Keep working through the grid that you recieved last week as it is packed with lots of fun activities.

Today I will be reading David Wallims – The World’s Worst Children – Bertha The Blubberer.

Have a great day,

Mrs McGill

Sumdog

Hi boys and girls,

I’ve uploaded different maths assessments and challenges on Sumdog for you to complete. Some of you have already completed some of the challenges I previously uploaded so I’ve extended the date on these to ensure everyone has a chance to complete the tasks.

If anyone has forgotten their login details please email me at marygrant@st-barbaras.n-lanark.sch.uk and I’ll email you directly. 😀

Good Morning Primary 5

Good morning boys and girls.

I hope that you are all up and active. Please spend some time today completing some set tasks from Sumdog, Studyladder and First News.

Please spend a minimum of 15 minutes on your personal reading and Log.

The sun is shining, so, if possible, get into the garden and create your own keep fit obstacle course or fitness routine.

My household will be painting a beautiful rainbow in our window. Please join us and help to make people smile.

Take a moment to offer a prayer for anyone who is unwell.

Mrs Haughey

Tuesday 24th

Good Morning Primary 6,

It was lovely to see so many of you working through the challenges that are waiting for you on Sumdog yesterday. New challenges are waiting to go up ever couple of days so keep checking back to see what’s available.

Keep working through your grids and posting what you are doing to our twitter, if you can, so that we can all keep in contact.

There are also activities waiting for you on Studyladder.com that you can access using your new logins.

If you have lost your login for studyladder or you were not at school when they were distributed please email me and I’ll send it to you.
