Please remember: no clown costumes or scary face-paint as some of our children do not like these.

Maths Week @ St. Barbara’s

 

Monday 23rd September marks the beginning of Maths Week, Scotland.

There will be lots of indoor and outdoor maths fun this week for everyone to enjoy.

As part of maths week, there will be a range of competitions which staff will use for homework.

Lanarkshire Neurodevelopmental Information

Our Educational Psychologist has asked us to raise awareness of the Lanarkshire Neurodevelopmental Pathway site which can be accessed by parents/carers.

The waiting time for NDP is extensive; however there is a great deal of information on this site, in addition to workshops, which is very useful.

Congratulations to Fraser and to Harris in Primary 6 who won the cluster K’NEX Challenge heat today.

They will now progress to the regional finals!

Enrolment 2024/2025

 

Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2024 and 28 February 2025 should be registered for education during the week commencing Monday 15 January 2024.

Each child’s birth certificate and proof of address in the form of the current council tax bill must be produced.

A Baptismal Certificate should be produced where applicable.

The dates and times for enrolment at St. Barbara’s are:

Monday 15th January: 11.00am – 12.15pm

Tuesday 16th January: 9.15am – 10.30am

Wednesday 17th January: 1.30pm – 2.30pm and 3.30pm – 5.00pm

Managing Stress and Anxiety Information Evening: Wednesday 1st February 2023

Dear Parent/Carer,

There is still time to sign up to the Managing Stress and Anxiety information evening which will be led by our Educational Psychologist, Susi Downey.

This is a great opportunity to learn how stress and anxiety impact on health and wellbeing and to learn how the body reacts to them also.
