Good afternoon boys and girls, this weeks homework is:

Monday – Red and blue group ‘kn’ phoneme words.

Green group – ‘ph’ phoneme words.

Tuesday – Red and blue groups common words and sentences – under, were, thing, know.

Green group – one, first, little – write your words 3 times with a sentence for each word.

Wednesday – Number worksheet (will be sent home).

Remember to read your book each night to help with your fluency and try to read with expression.

Make a list of as many “ff” words as you can in your homework jotter.

Green group- the phoneme “wh”

Make a list of as many “wh” words as you can in your jotter.

Wednesday – Common words

Red and blue group – three, room, long, tree

Green group – out, now, new

Write these words out 3 times with a sentence for each word.

Thursday – Sumdog challenge.

As this is a shorter week than usual, you will only have homework to complete on Monday and Tuesday.  Your reading book should be returned to school on Wednesday. Please take a picture of any work that you are proud of and send it to me. gw09wallacemarie2@glow.sch.uk

Green group- the phoneme “ng”

Make a list of as many “ng” words as you can in your jotter.

Tuesday – Common words

Red and blue group – well, will, fell, call

Green group – old, do, going

You can practise these words in a fun way, you may choose chalk, shaving foam, plasticine, fancy spelling, rainbow spelling, pyramid spelling, uppercase/lowercase spelling.

Time – revise quarter past times and quarter to times using this clock.

Tuesday – Tasks have been set on Sumdog for you. Please complete the common words challenge.

This week’s common words are:

Red and blue group – fly, bring, Mr, two

Green group – much, of, or

Wednesday – Complete the time tasks set for you on Sumdog.  If you have not yet managed to complete your diagnostic maths test please try to do that this week.

Practice your reading book every night.  Try to read with fluency and expression.  Reading books should be returned on a Thursday.

Primary 3 homework. Wk beg 7th Sept

All children have been issued with a green jotter for homework tasks. These jotters should be kept at home (until further notice).

This week’s tasks are:

Monday – Red and blue group – make a wordlist in your jotter for the phoneme ‘a_e’ as in “make a cake.”

Green group – make a word list for the phoneme ‘sh’.

Complete your time worksheet, revising o’clock, half past and quarter past.

Tuesday– Red and blue group – common words – who,after, hand,write. Choose a fun way to practise your common words in your jotter. This could be rainbow spelling, pyramid spelling, fancy spelling, dotty spelling or uppercase/lowercase spelling.

Green group- common words – she, come, from – choose a fun way to write your words into your jotter.

Wednesday -Red and blue group – u_e phoneme wordlist in jotter as in “flute”.

Green group- th phoneme wordlist in jotter.

Please practise reading each night to help fluency. Your child will be reading their book from the previous week at school.

Please return the book to school on Friday where it will be quarantined for 72 hours before being used again.

If you have not yet managed to complete your Sumdog diagnostic test please try to complete it this week.
