Managing Stress and Anxiety Information Evening: Wednesday 1st February 2023

There is still time to sign up to the Managing Stress and Anxiety information evening which will be led by our Educational Psychologist, Susi Downey.
This is a great opportunity to learn how stress and anxiety impact on health and wellbeing and to learn how the body reacts to them also.

Enrolment Information for Parents and Carers
REGISTRATION OF INFANT BEGINNERS
IN PRIMARY SCHOOL
SESSION 2023/24
Children who attain the age of 5 years between 1 March 2023 and 29 February 2024 should be registered for education during the week commencing Monday 16 January 2023.
Parents/carers should take their children to the appropriate local primary school during that week at the times(s) designated by the school concerned.
Birth certificates and a current council tax notice must be produced.

Parent/carers who wish to defer entry for their child to Primary School and who wish to apply for an additional year of part time pre-school education should register their child for school as described above and complete the deferred entry application form which can be obtained from the Primary School.
Enquiries regarding Deferred Entry should be directed to the Head of Establishment in the first instance.

NL £150 Fuel Hardship Payments
Dear Parent,
Please find information below regarding fuel hardship payments available to residents on a low income but earning too much to be eligible for any other cost of living financial assistance provided by the Scottish or UK governments.
Applications open for fuel hardship payment
Low-income households in North Lanarkshire can apply for our £150 fuel hardship payment.
The payment is aimed at residents on a low income but earning too much to be eligible for any other cost of living financial assistance provided by the Scottish or UK governments.

The deadline for applications is 3 December at 5.00pm.
“We know that many people are worried about rising energy bills, so we are allocating £2.161 million to offer a one-off payment to households on a low income,” said Councillor Paul Kelly, Depute Council Leader.
“This is part of our eight-point cost of living action plan to help support residents who are trying to cope with spiralling living costs by providing a cash boost towards household bills.
“As part of the application process, we will also offer free support and assistance on benefits, debt and budgeting advice, and advice on staying warm while reducing energy costs.”

Payments to successful applicants will begin at the end of October and will be made in the order that applications have been received.

Staffing and Classes: August 2022
Dear Primary 1 Parent,
Our staffing has been confirmed for next session. There will be two Primary 1 classes. The children will not be separated into classes immediately but will be taught by both of our Primary 1 teachers, Miss McEleney and Mrs Boyce.
We’re looking forward to seeing all of the children in August and hope that you all have a lovely summer break!
