Good afternoon Primary 3,

I hope you are all having a lovely day.

I have had some messages to say a few of you have had trouble accessing hit the button. Here is the link to the website. I hope this helps you find it.

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

I should of also said earlier that for your hit the button challenge I just want you to choose a set of questions to try. You may pick between multiplication or division and select which one you are going to try the same way we do in class. Once you have given it a go you may want to challenge yourself and choose a trickier set of questions.

Good Luck!

Good Morning Primary 3,

Thank you to everyone who has been in touch for their spelling words and to send me pictures of all of your hard work. I’m so proud of how hard you are all working. Keep the pictures coming as it’s putting a smile on my face.

Today I would like you to choose a story you enjoy and spend some quiet time reading. As today is our writing day, try and write a different ending for the story you choose. We did this before in class and you came up with some fantastic ideas!

I have been trying hard to beat my top score on hit the button and I think I should be the new class champion. Unless any of you think you are up to the challenge of taking the top spot. Have a go today and tweet me your score. Let’s see who is at the top of the leader board by 3:00pm today.

Remember to take plenty of breaks and get some exercise.

Good Morning Primary 3,

Hope we are all well, I am missing you all lots! Keep tweeting in your pictures so I can see those smiling faces!

Lots of you have been in touch to get your spelling words and Studyladder log in details. If you haven’t already then please get in touch. (mcmullenke@st-barbaras.n-lanark.sch.uk)

I hope you have all been busy with your learning grids. Today on Sumdog your spelling and reading challenges are ongoing. This ends at 3:00pm today when I will take a look at the results. For Maths the Studyladder challenge is still available. Choose a focus table today and try and learn it. If you do not know the answer in your head try and think about what multiplication strategies we have learned to help you get your answer.

As the weather has been so nice I thought today we could have a look outside for some signs of spring. I have uploaded a power point for you to have a look at. This will give you lots of information about spring. After you’ve had a look through there is a spring checklist. If you are in your garden or out a walk today you could use this to see how many things from the list you can spot in real life. If you can, take some photographs and tweet them for me to have a look at.

This afternoon you could maybe try some spring artwork. I have uploaded some ideas you can use but you can feel free to get creative and come up with your own spring picture.

Good Morning Primary 3,

Hope we are up and ready to learn. Lets start the day with some exercise. You could try some go noodle videos or even try out Joe Wicks at 9:00 am on YouTube.

Today from 10:00 am there will be some new Sumdog challenges for you to try. These will be spelling and reading challenges. This is something we haven’t tried before so give it your best shot! Remember if it seems too tricky at first sumdog is just trying to set itself to the correct level for you.

For Maths today you can access Study Ladder for a money challenge. If you don’t have your log in yet remember to email me and I will get it sent to you.

Some of you have already been in touch to ask for a list of spelling words to revise. Please continue to email me and I will send these to you.

Most importantly boys and girls remember to have fun and stay safe!
