Good Morning everyone and welcome to our first ever Virtual Sports’ Day!
Today, activities have been set for the whole school to enjoy.
We hope that you enjoy the day and we ask you to upload pictures onto Twitter or to email pictures to your child’s class teacher. Thank you!
Just like every day, we will begin with the morning prayer.
God our Father
As we prepare to begin our work
We ask you to help us to use properly the many gifts you have given us
So that we may fully benefit from our day together. Amen.

R.E.
After all of the fun of Sports’ Day, time to relax and focus on the R.E. tasks below.
During Sunday’s Gospel we heard about Jesus praying for his friends and for us. He wanted us to be one, to be united in love, as closely as Jesus and God the Father are united in love. So, let’s think about how we can be more like that.
After Sunday’s Gospel Father Campbell spoke about how it is now 9 weeks since we have been together in the Church. He spoke about what people were missing about coming together for Mass. These feelings we have about missing things were the same feelings that the disciples felt when Jesus ascended into Heaven. Jesus prayed for his disciples and the disciples prayed to help them be closer to Jesus.
Watch this short video to help us reflect on Sunday’s Gospel.
What could we do to help us be united in love just like Jesus wanted us to be? Perhaps you have a favourite book and could read it to your little brother or sister. Perhaps you enjoy making music; you could play it over the phone for a loved one. Maybe you could do a very helpful thing around the house for your parents without being asked. Today I would like you to pick an act of kindness to do for someone else and help put a big smile on that person’s face! Have a look at some more ideas below:
Now write down your act of kindness inside a heart and decorate it.
Please send your pictures to your teacher’s email address or Tweet us @St_BarbarasPS. We love seeing your pictures.
We all hope that you enjoyed an active, fun day. See you tomorrow!
