Good Morning Everyone!
The Feast of the Ascension
Welcome to this week’s update which is on Thursday due to the bank holidays tomorrow and Monday.
It has been just fabulous to see all of the work that has been going on across the school this week, even if you were completing it at home. I have loved looking at all of the photographs of your healthy snacks; you certainly have been really creative. They all looked delicious.
I’ve also really enjoyed looking at all of your hard work in jotters, your pictures and collages, outdoor learning and even stop motion videos. Well done, everyone!
Primary 4, your video was just beautiful and I hope that everyone else saw it too. If not, you can access it through the Parish website. Well done to all of you and to your families. A special, ‘Well Done’ to all of your friends in Primary 5/4 and Primary 4/3 who have supported you as well as to the staff who all made it possible. I would like to thank Fr. Campbell for leading it (which took several attempts to make sure that he held the candle in the correct hand!) so well.
Parents, thank you so much for your continuing help in supporting the children at home. I know that it is extremely difficult for you at times but I really appreciate your effort.
Teaching and Support Staff, thank you for all that you are doing for the children daily and behind the scenes; I greatly appreciate all that you do.
Finally, well done to all of our St. Barbara’s Superstars, our children! As always, you are a credit to your families and to all of our school community. Well, today we would have been at church as it is the Feast of the Ascension; Fr. Campbell has been on the phone already because he wanted to remind me to remind all of you (!) that you have to have a special, sneaky extra playtime today! Great news!
Next Tuesday the whole day is going to be a Virtual Sports’ Day – so look out for more information on the website!
So everyone – it’s Thursday, it’s the holiday weekend which means that once you have finished your work and had a long playtime, it’s Golden Time! I hope that you have a lovely, long weekend with your families.
