St Patrick’s day at St Andrews has been full of Irish fun. We are all wearing green for St Patrick’s day!
We started our assembly with a power point created and presented by Luke, Lisa, Jake & Erin from Primary 7.
Then we were treated to a performance by our 3 fantastic Irish dancers. Paul (p7), Helene (p7) & Maria (p2). They were FANTASTIC!! Well done to Helene who kept dancing despite losing a shoe mid performance.
Congratulations to the children from Holy Cross Parish who made their Sacrament of Reconciliation last night. It was a beautiful service and you all worked so hard 🙂
P6/7 have been learning to budget money, P6 have been learning to solve money problems. P7 have been learning about converting between British pounds and foreign currency. Recently, P2 have been learning about how to prepare for Lent through fasting, alms giving and praying. In their topic they have been looking at parts of plants and their proper names. As well as that they have been looking at simple food chains and have been growing their own bean plants.
Primary 4/5 have been learning all about the Victorians. We were looking at all the different parts of a camera and how it is made. We also had a visit from Zhula who is a Mandarin teacher. She has been teaching us how to count to 10 in Mandarin. We also found out how we see colour and how it makes us see all the other colours in our eyes.
