Living Things

In Primary 3 we have started a new topic – Living Things. We have been learning about the life processes of Living Things and their characteristics. We remember this by using MRS NERG…

Movement

Respiration

Sensitivity

Nutrition

Excretion

Reproduction

Growth

Today we went outside to look around our school area to look out for living things. We even collected some leaves, flowers and sticks that we will use in our art lesson tomorrow.

Joint Campus Easter Service

Today St Andrews & Cumbernauld Primary came together to celebrate our Easter service. It was a lovely service full of fantastic performances from both schools primary 4 children.

We also had the pleasure of seeing our amazing violinists. You were fantastic girls 🙂

We also listened to the Easter story told by our lovely presenters. Father Campbell & John Dick had some balloons with important messages inside.

It was a lovely service and a perfect way to end this term. Have a lovely Easter everyone 🙂

Primary 3 SCIAF Fundraising

Primary 3 hosted a carnival fun day to raise money for SCIAF. We set up a tuck shop, cake & candy, guess the teddy bears name, guess how many sweets in the jar, raffle and guess the teachers baby picture.

Massive thank you to all the generous donations from everyone and big well done to all our winners.

Lucy Morrison P5 – who guessed Charlie the name of the teddy bear.

Callum Bradley  P3- who guessed 175 sweets correctly!

And our numerous raffle winners.

Well done Primary 3 for all your hard work 🙂

The Great Skittles Robbery…

Monday at lunch time something terrible happened in the Primary 3 classroom… Miss Smart  brought in a big tub of skittles and left them on the table and at lunch time they went MISSING!!! At the scene of the crime there were two packets of skittles all over the floor and the tub was nowhere to be seen.

So Miss Smart blocked of the area and collected the evidence left. There was a footprint and a hand print!! Now we knew there was only 7 people in the bay at the time of the crime. Miss Mooney, Mrs Taylor, Mr Gibb, Mrs Glasgow, Mrs Enright, Miss McClusky & Mrs Carroll. So all the suspects shoe prints and hand prints were collected and it was up to Primary 3 to see who measures up… Who’s hand prints & footprints matched the ones found at the scene…

We have been learning all about measure and how to measure accurately. So this helped our investigation.

After an thorough investigation, the culprit turned out to be…. MRS GLASGOW! Mrs Glasgow has now returned the skittles tub back to primary 3. CASE CLOSED.
