P1-2 HOME LEARNING T4-W8

Hello everyone 🙂

This week is our Health Week and there are lots of fun activities and challenges for you to take part in.

I will upload daily activities into Dojo but have included your weekly overview and links to resources here. Our Active School coordinators have been very busy organising challenges for you to do throughout the week, some are definitely more challenging than others but you should give them all a try. It will be a lot of fun!

As usual it would be great if you could take lots of pictures of your work and you completing tasks so that we can share them with your friends and our school community.

Take Care and have a great week.

Mrs Craig

Don’t forget to upload your work to Dojo.

P1-2 HOME LEARNING 18th May

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all well.   Many parents had commented on large amounts of screen time and had requested paper activities. This is mainly what I am uploading this week however, you know best as to the balance needed in your own home.

This week we are going to focus mainly on three areas; Mental maths, Class text: Max the Labrador and Well-being week. Bear in mind that although it looks like a lot of uploads I am catering for P1s and P2s. You can work through the activities at your own pace.

Additionally, although our meet on Teams wasn’t successful last week there is nothing to stop you logging in and exploring the site as there are many additional resources in the files section should you want them.

I would love to see examples of any work, as well as some lovely photos of you all. These can be uploaded to Class Dojo and we can also share them on Twitter with your permission.

As per Mrs. Brazill’s letter, we will not be calling everyone this week but if I will try to speak to anyone I’ve not managed to catch up with over the last couple of weeks.  If you would like to speak to me or need support with anything  you can always contact me via messages if you have any questions.

Have a great week Mrs Craig!

P1-2 Home Learning Task

Good morning everyone,

If this was a normal school week today would be an inservice day and you would have the day off. I still have to work today so I thought I would upload our weekly grid.

Well done to you, if you are managing to learn at home during this challenging time.

Here are the resources you will need to complete this week’s activities.

I look forward to you sharing your pictures with me via Class Dojo. Take Care and stay safe. Mrs Craig

P1-2 Home Learning Opportunities

Hello all,

I hope you had a calm, joyful break.  Here is a copy of some activities that can be completed with minimal resources at home. In the first instance children should work though the activities sent home before school broke up.  Many of these tasks can be repeated to build depth and confidence.  I will upload additional resources as they become relevant.

Additional daily activities will be posted in Dojo. Thank you for uploading all your pictures and videos.

Take care and thank you for all your hard work. Mrs Craig

P1-2 Home Learning Opportunities

Hi All, I hope you are well. Many of you are already completing tasks and keeping up to date on Class Dojo. This is a really easy way to keep in contact and upload activities that your child has taken part in.

Here are some tasks that can be done with limited technology at home.

  • Spelling/ Reading- Each child was given home common words for stage 1 and 2.  See how far your child can a) read the words b) spell the words c) write the words (no peeking) d) include them in a dictated sentence.

Here is another copy if needed. Click the link for stage 1 words- pic of stage 2 below.

  • A good idea is also to sign up for a parent account on Twinkl

https://www.twinkl.co.uk/home-learning-hub

Here is an idea of what is available: Home Learning Curricular Plan (Twinkl)

Thank you so much. I look forward to hearing from you all. Mrs Craig
