Blair Drummond Safari Park Visit

This week the nursery children visited Blair Drummond Safari Park. They had a great time learning more about the animals and seeing them  up close. The antics of the meerkats made us laugh and we were impressed by the sealion’s tricks.

People Who Help Us

The children in the nursery have been learning about the people who help us in the community. We were lucky enough to have a visit from the police and the fire service and found out all about their jobs. The children enjoyed trying on the police uniforms and looking at the equipment the officers use.

On the day of the fire service visit the firefighters brought the fire engine with them and we had a chance to use the hoses to spray water. The visit in the morning had some added excitement when the firefighters got a call out and had to leave with the blue lights flashing.

Easter Celebrations

The children in the nursery have had a great time celebrating Easter with their friends. On Tuesday we had a Springtime party and were lucky enough to have a visit from the Easter Bunny. On Thursday we had the chance to entertain our parents with our fantastic singing and dancing.  The Spring Chicken song was a favourite with children and parents.

Scottish Book Trust

dscn2038

One of our favourite authors, Nick Sharratt, was the winner of the Scottish Book Trust Bookbug Picture Book Prize 2017.  We love his book Shark in the Park on a Windy Day.  Well done Nick!
