“That was the best walk ever!” Quote from one of our class. Along the Monkland Canal to Calderbank. Friendship, exercise and a lot of conversation along the way. The children were a credit to Sikeside today.

A big well done to all of our award winners this week. Keep up the great work everyone.

We learned about the Monkland Canal today in P3/2. Then made our own boats and tested them to see  if they would float or sink. 

P7/6 have enjoyed reading the novel The Boy at the Back of the Classroom and finding out more about the experiences of refugees. This inspired us to create some art work to display.

Primary 5 learning about their mental health and how fresh air can help us to feel better. We took the opportunity to go outdoors and play some of our favourite games with our friends.

We listened to the story of the Good Samaritan in P1 and made puppets to retell the story. We loved retelling the story to our friends and are becoming confident performers.

P6 showed some great skills to complete their Bikeability 1 training. Well done everyone.
