This is our first post about what we have done in room 17on Friday and Monday.  On Friday we came in and collected Mary’s Meals backpacks for children who aren’t as fortunate as us.  Then we went straight to swimming.  When we got there one group went straight to swimming first and the other group went to dry sports (volleyball) first.  When we were in the swimming pool we going over a few different strokes an then at dry sports we were doing some volleyball games.  Everybody in room 17 really enjoys going to swimming and dry sports.  When we came back from swimming our class took part in UNICEF day for change by wearing something on our head whether it was a hat or a pair of pants.  We liked taking part in it because we got to wear stuff that we wouldn’t normally get to wear to school.  Monday morning was fairly normal.  We did some maths and reading.  In the afternoon we did art with peppers !  We got put into partners and then the teacher cut the peppers in half, and every pair got a half, then we each had to draw what we could see, once we had finished drawing it we got black chalk and had to smudge it in using light and dark.  Our class enjoyed this because we love to do art.
