Primary 1 learned the sounds ‘g’ and ‘l’ this week. We have been wrapping Gifts for Miss Goodbrand, Giving the Goat his Glasses, Gloves & Gown, and building ‘g’ and ‘l’ words on our magnetic boards!
Writing time is one of our favourite times of the week! This week, we wrote about a magical flying carpet. Some of our carpets even went to Disney land! Our teachers are so proud of everyone for giving their writing a go independently this week.
Primary 1/2 love their morning play. This is a chance for us to build our teamwork and communication, while exploring much loved or new areas of the classroom. We have opened a listening centre which we are enjoying very much! We even had a fashion show this week, where some children designed fabulous outfits.Â

Our P1 and P1/2 children are officially in training to be the best Ravenswood Rangers yet! This week we used the playground to practise some of the essential skills we need in order to make the most of the outdoors. We practised our climbing skills, made houses for the bugs, created mud pies and built our own dens. Fun, laughter, team building, communication, patience and resilience was all on show! We can’t wait until our next outdoor learning day!
Primary 1/2 – 5.9.25
P1 and P1/2 have had another busy week as we settle in to school life. P1 have been exploring with letters, numbers and rhyming whilst P2 have been revising their alphabet sounds, common words and blending skills. We enjoyed our first IMPACT days and worked together with some of our senior pupils to clean up our playground and design and make some recycled creations.
Primary 1/2 – 29.8.25
We have been learning about rhyme and practising all of our sounds and common words. Why not test our skills at home! We have also enjoyed exploring outdoors to work on our teamwork skills, completing lots of playful challenges.
