3.10.25

Firstly, we would like to say a huge congratulations to the winners of this year’s house captain elections. It was really a close competition and we are so proud of the effort put in by everyone involved.
Throughout this week we have been busy across the curriculum. We have been using a range of mental and written methods to add and subtract in maths. We have also continued with our STEM Space Project. This week we have been working on our mapping skills and using our knowledge of the local area to create maps and diagrams of key landmarks.

The final countdown is on for next week’s house captain elections and P7 have been working hard on the last of their preparations. From speech redraft to creating campaign stickers, we can’t wait to show off our hard work next week. This week we have also started our new STEM Space topic which we are carrying out to develop our spatial reasoning skills. We built objects out of linking cubes and drew what we imagine the objects would look like from different perspectives.

P7 have carried on with preparations for house captain elections this week. We have been busy creating eye catching posters to display as part of our campaign. We made sure to incorporate our house colours and catchy slogans. This week we also enjoyed a busy activity day with Miss Phillips. We repurposed old clothes and recyclable materials to create new practical items and even had out own recycled fashion show.

Primary 7 – 29.8.25

This week P7 have enjoying reading their class novel ‘Wonder’. We put ourselves in the shoes of the character August and created step insides to share the thoughts, feelings and experiences of him during his first weeks of school. In maths we have been learning about place value. This week we have been working on identifying the value of digits according to their place in the number and using this to help us order and categorise seven or more digit whole numbers. House captain election preparations have also begun. We are working currently on creating catchy slogans to help us stand out from the crowd ahead of our campaigns.
