This week Ravenswood Primary has been very like Santa’s workshop! Classes around the school have been creating companies and making products to sell at our Christmas Fayre. Mrs Simpson and some of our Enterprise Committee took some of our products to the Greenfaulds High School Christmas Market. We were a huge hit! This opportunity gave our pupils a chance to hone their sales techniques as well as allow us to  meet some of the teachers at Greenfauld High School.

We would like to welcome all parents and carers to our Christmas Service on Wednesday 16th December.

P1/2 have been learning new knowledge and skills during our topic work this week. We have been working hard to work cooperatively and have been developing our talking and listening skills by explaining what we have been up to after each play session. Super Work!

These children worked together to make a fantastic blue whale using a variety of media.

We learned that the blue whale is the largest mammal in the world!

P6 are enjoying their block of athletics in PE. This week we were focussing on jumping techniques. We learned how to do the long jump safely and with the correct technique. We have also been practising javelin and sprinting.

Ravenswood Primary School sure know how to celebrate! The Halloween disco was a HUGE success. The costumes were amazing and the dancing sublime. Thank you to all of the pupils, staff and PCA who made it such a success.

In P6 we have been learning different addition strategies. We can use the column and partitioning strategy to find the answer to a range of addition sums. We have been playing fun maths games to help us practise these strategies.

We used our spelling words to create challenging word searches for our partners. We enjoyed trying to find tricky words within the word searches.
