Primary 3 have been learning about doubles and near doubles this week. We learned a super doubles rap to help us remember doubles facts, please ask us to perform this to you.
We really enjoyed using mirrors to investigate larger doubles, we can calculate double sums involving hundreds, tens and units!

P6 took part in lots of fun spelling activities this week. We were learning to spell our common words correctly using a range of strategies. We enjoy having the opportunity to choose what fun spelling tasks we would like to complete. This week our options were painting, chalk spelling, iPad spelling and graffiti boards.
Primary 3 learned about different ways to record and display information. We can use tables, tally marks, graphs and Venn diagrams.

Primary 3 investigated ‘owl droppings’ to learn more about the diet of Barn Owls. We also had a special visitor who taught us about owl habitats. Our visitor brought a real Barn Owl wing and claw for us to investigate.
