Primary 1

Primary 1 – 5.9.25

P1 and P1/2 have had another busy week as we settle in to school life. P1 have been exploring with letters, numbers and rhyming whilst P2 have been revising their alphabet sounds, common words and blending skills. We enjoyed our first IMPACT days and worked together with some of our senior pupils to clean up our playground and design and make some recycled creations.

Primary 1 – 29.8.25

We have been learning to rhyme! We sing Incy Wincy and know that when a word rhymes it sounds the same at the end.

We have also been practicing recognising and making our names through writing, sound building and mark making in glitter and foam. A super successful week in Primary 1!

First Week Back in Primary 1 – 18th August

Primary 1 & 1/2’s first trip to the gym hall. We played movement games and learned how to keep ourselves and other safe with Mrs McAllister. We had so much fun!

We caught the ‘flat teachers’ being cheeky in our classroom! We created some class rules and showed the flat teacher how to follow them by playing and working together. Our class rules are: be kind, be safe, be gentle, be ready to learn & put things back where they belong!
