Talented pupils sharing their knowledge!

Mrs Simpson had an easy day in primary 1/2! First we had a clever primary 7 come and teach the children about Scotland from a book she had written herself. After lunch we had a fantastic presentation from a confident young lady in primary 4. Then some super stars from our own class shared their own Scotland books! Mrs Spowart and I will soon be out of a job!

This confident young lady captivated her p1/2 audience today. They learned lots of new facts.

Highland Cows with p1/2

We have loved learning about highland cows this week. We have used lots of different resources to gather evidence about them. P1/2 have written reports and created these amazing pieces of art!

Rights Team Meeting Minutes

Rights Respecting Steering Group Meeting

Tuesday 26th January 2016 1.15pm-2pm

What did we talk about? What we will do? How we will do it?

Friendship centre.

Holocaust memorial day 2016.

We will help everyone enjoy their right to play by establishing and running a Friendship Centre in our playground.

We talked about Holocaust Memorial day on Thursday. We listened to the story of Anne Frank and identified the rights she was denied before she went into hiding and whilst she was in hiding.

We set up a rota for Friendship centre. We planned games and the rules of the games to play at Friendship Centre. Reports suggest the Friendship centre is very popular with P1-P4 children.

We will retell the story of Anne Frank at assembly on Thursday. We found photographs of Anne Frank and her hiding place online and made a slideshow of the photographs to show at assembly. We will gather props to help us in the retelling of the story. We will ask our audience to identify rights Anne was denied.

We will watch a short clip about Anne Frank in hiding from Youtube.

It’s Great Outdoors!

This term P5 are learning all about the world around us in our Great Outdoors topic. We have been learning all about the life cycle of plants and how important they are to all living species. We can’t wait to share what we have been learning at our class assembly.
